Qualifications
Minimum
Associate’s degree in CS, IS, IT or technology related field; or a High School diploma, or equivalent (GED), and two years of professional work experience directly related to supporting information systems
Experience with the following:
Microsoft Windows operating system administration and troubleshooting
Troubleshooting hardware and software
Relational database management systems and concepts
Preferred
Experience with the following:
Enterprise computer management systems, like Microsoft System Center
Computer systems analysis
Object-oriented database management systems and concepts
Competencies
Minimum
General knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, and Microsoft Office
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently, analyze problems, and make decisions with limited supervision
Ability to diligently follow standards and best practices for many different technology areas
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred
General knowledge of ITIL Foundations, and software development life cycle (SDLC) models
Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27000, PCI-DSS, NIST/FISMA, FCRA, GLBA, TCPA)
Ability to anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to overcome them
Ability to conduct research, summarize results, make recommendations, prepare reports or documents, and present results both orally and in writing
