TechDesign’s E-Commerce Platform allows suppliers and buyers to sell and buy products on our highly-scalable and reliable infrastructure for web, mobile and backend solutions.

As a technical manager, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver TechDesign’s cutting-edge products including: E-Commerce Website, sophisticated CRM system, Backend RESTful API, Cloud Infrastructure, Big Data, CI/CD, Docker/VM and more.

[Responsibilities]

• Manage a small team of software engineers working on E-Commerce Platform.
• Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching and mentoring.
• Create career development plans, manage performance, performance reviews.
• Drive the software technology team's roadmap and extend systems as needed.
• Provide technical leadership to drive all phases of software systems development, from an initial what it needs to do early definition phase, and on through specification, architecture and production.
• Hands-on execution including the development, debugging, and optimization of systems ranging from one-off prototypes to large, complex systems.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews for the software team.

[Minimum qualifications]
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience on backend design, implementation and architecture
• 3+ years of experience on team management
• Expert on performance tuning and backend troubleshooting
• Expert on PHP, Python and other backend language, like Node.JS
• Familiar with Restful API design and implementation.
• Familiar with relational database and NoSQL database. like MySQL, MongoDB, Redis…etc
• Familiar with operation systems of Linux, AWS, GCP.
• Familiar with Git or other source control tools.
• Good communication and collaboration with team members.

[Preferred qualifications]
• Strong knowledge of open-source libraries/packages
• Familiar with PHP framework, like Laravel
• Familiar with jQuery and other JavaScript framework
• Familiar with CI/CD
• Familiar with network protocols
• Familiar with maintaining robust and scalable production services
