Associate Trainer for Basic Technical Training

Job Description

Purpose: 

  1. Responsible for the ongoing delivery and logistics of the wide range of high quality courses at TIWTC. 
  2. Maintain a positive presence in the wind industry training sector through high levels of personal motivation to deliver safe, relevant, well informed and enjoyable courses.
  3. To promote and develop TIWTC offer through the development of new training and promotional initiatives through media and digital content and through business development.

Key Deliverables: 

  1. Regular high quality delivery of all types of courses measurable by customer feedback on a course by course basis.
  2. Occasional support for the development of courses with management team for site-based training and consultancy.
  3. Support TIWTC with effective management of course content, quality management systems and audit preparation to ensure compliance with both organisational and legislative bodies.
  4. Maintenance and general upkeep of training facilities ensuring training locations are safe and presentable prior to any course taking place.
  5. Timely and competent inspection of relevant safety equipment ensuring accurate record keeping in line with legal and/or legislative duties.
  6. Make efforts to increase knowledge of industry and access various types of offshore platforms on a regular basis.
  7. Identifying opportunities for new accredited / bespoke courses to be delivered at our centres or at client sites as required.

Requirements

◎Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• English level should approach at least CEFR B2 Vantage
• Experience in training technical subjects.
• Familiarity with the wind industry (Project and O&M) as well as familiarity with wind turbines.
• Needs to take at least two of the following technical courses before:
[ Hydraulics / Electrical / Mechanical ]
• Demonstrate an understanding of main components, mechanical systems and the basic operation of wind turbines and an understanding of mechanical tasks and safety.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills.
• Previous relevant industry and/or trainer experience.
• Effective self-management working with a remote team and management structure.
• Ability to work effectively using different management systems and across different levels of the organisation.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Adaptable, creative and highly motivated to develop.
• Microsoft office skills.
