Consulting Engineer is a specialty job that is intended for people with a technical background who do not specialize in hardware development and design.

In short, Consulting Engineer is a position that involves being a developer in the market. Working with clients, Consulting Engineer professionals confirm on-site whether energy, such as steam, hot water, water, and electricity, is being used efficiently, plan and carry out analysis/improvement for optimization, adapt designs to actual plants, conduct commissioning and testing, and confirm results, all with the aim of achieving results.

Different industries and products have their own unique production processes and steam usage equipment, and there are common issues and causes for those problems. Naturally, solutions to these issues can be standardized as the best solution. Solutions can range from selecting the optimal product to solve the problem to combining multiple products into a system, reviewing steam piping design, and designing the optimal steam process. Additionally, one of the roles of Consulting Engineer is to plan for new technology and product development through CES activities. Cross-cutting product development as a DE with a specific theme is also being carried out.

Consulting Engineer professionals must be familiar with all technical information to benefit the client. They also lead joint projects with clients, which inevitably requires discussions with top-level client management. Therefore, Consulting Engineer professionals are also required to have communication skills and business sense to summarize proposals and reports that are acceptable to the client's top management, and to gain understanding and agreement from the client company on the necessity of CES based on those proposals.
