The Data Engineering team works closely with tsmc’s business functions(Domain expert, Data Scientist..etc) in all aspects of data, like connect and automate the pipelines, provide data as products building data warehouse and data mart, and data cleansing and data governance developing Big data engineering, Machine Learning and advanced analytics solutions. We are looking for individuals with strong experience in Big Data and Datawarehouse technologies.
1.Collaborate with Users, Analyst and Architect on business needs and translate requirements into technical needs.
2.Identify and understand the data sources that are relevant for analysis.
3.Become a subject domain expert in company data.
4.Consolidate the requirements and using data engineering skills to design a robust DataMart.
5.Participate in design, architecture review and deployment of Big data and data warehouse solutions.
6.Design for automation and monitoring mechanism in a continuous integration environment.
7.Bring new data technology with POC to solve existing data challenges.
1.B.S. degree and above in Computer Science or related fields (Information Engineering, Information Management, Data engineering, Applied Mathematics).
2.Strong development skills in languages such as java, SQL, python or go.
3.3+ years of experience working with Big Data Solutions development, familiar with data pipelines for batch and streaming applications.
4.3+ years using ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Spark…etc), familiar with data orchestration among various data sources, data parallel processing, data aggregation and data warehouse and data mart realizations.
5.3+ years developing with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL…etc) with data modeling capabilities.
6.Strong developing applications with Hadoop Eco. Such as Hive, Spark, Kafka, Hbase.
7.Dedicated to unit and integration testing and coverage, comfortable using the tools of the trade; debuggers, source control, profiling, unit test coverage.
8.Experience with designing data monitoring dashboards by using Splunk, Tableau or any others visualization tools.
9.Knowledge with object stores to handle image or unstructured data (i.e. S3 or distributed storage).
10.A passion for data and information with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
11.The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, work environment.
12.Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
13.Familiarity with developing APIs with the care they deserve (e.g. gRPC/REST).
14.Familiarity with cloud native deployment practices is a plus; specifically, containers and container orchestration platforms.
