Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a Production Quality Engineer who’s ready to jump in at the deep end to supercharge our bike assembly process to ensure the highest quality for our riders. You’ll work with our Production Quality teams as well as our Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) and Research and Development (R&D) teams to rewrite the rulebook on how bikes are made.

So what will be your roles and responsibilities? As our Production Quality Engineer you will be a walking encyclopaedia of all things VanMoof. You’ll know all about monitoring and sustaining front and back-end quality control in our bike assembly factory as well as supporting the R&D team and SQE team with design improvements.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, software and firmware features and provide feedback to stakeholders as well as notifying them about any potential issues.
  • You’ll collaborate with our Warranty Team to maintain the engineering issue database from customer claims.
  • You’ll support both the Research and Development team and the Supplier Quality Engineering team with design developments.
  • You’ll monitor and sustain front and back-end quality control in our bike assembly factory – this includes incoming quality control, in-process quality control, outgoing quality control and pre-dispatch inspection.

    Requirements

    What you’ll bring:

    • You’ll have a bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on either Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or another technical discipline.
    • You’ll have a good understanding of the 7QC core tools for data collection and presentation.
    • You’ll have a basic understanding of IATF 16949 5 Core Tools (APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC, and FMEA).
    • You’ll have experience working in cross-functioning team project deployment or mass production sustaining.
    • You’ll have strong knowledge of QC Principle (from IQC to OQC) and control plan deployment.
    • You have a good understanding of the English language, both written and spoken.
    • You’ll be responsible for up-to-date training – providing instructions for colleagues team-wide.
    • You have a basic understanding of how to operate MS Office software for reporting.


      Extremely nice to have:

      • You have experience with PCBA and firmware debugging & troubleshooting.
      • You’ll have a clear and strong understanding of electronic bikes or regular bike manufacturing processes.
      • You have mechanical-related processing knowledge from stamping, CNC, injection molding, or metal welding.
