Job Description

We are looking for a Founding Head of Recruitment and Business Development to join our fast-paced early-stage company backed by top-tier U.S. and European VCs and angel investors. We are building professional networking apps powered by a verified people graph and generative AI. We offer a generous equity package with high upside potential, given that we are an early-stage startup. We seek entrepreneurial individuals who value moving fast and are passionate about making a significant impact in the recruitment and business development space.

As a Founding Head of Recruitment and Business Development, you will be part of our founding team. Our company is based in San Mateo, with operations in Taipei and London as well. In this hybrid role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of our company by sourcing top talent and fostering strong partnerships with recruitment agencies and companies.

  1. Sourcing and recruiting top talent for our new platform through direct outreach as the primary method, supplemented by building a pipeline of high-quality candidates through various channels, such as job boards, social media, and referrals.
  2. Business development and outreach to potential clients, including recruitment agencies and companies, to onboard them onto our platform.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with both candidates and business partners to ensure a smooth recruitment process and successful onboarding experience.
  4. Proactively research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and market knowledge to inform recruitment and business development efforts.
  5. Organize and attend industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to expand company presence and promote the platform.
  6. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company professionally and positively in all interactions with external partners and candidates.


  1. Recruitment experience with top-tier tech companies, either agency and in-house experience.
  2. A strong rolodex of candidates at various levels, and decision-makers in the recruitment space at employers and recruitment agencies.
  3. Proven track record of success in business development and client relationship management.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  5. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically and professionally.
  6. Adept at using various recruitment tools and platforms, such as applicant tracking systems, job boards, and social media.

We are a Silicon Valley based startup founded by ex-Facebook, Instagram, Airbnb, Amazon, and Yahoo tech executives with offices in San Francisco, London and Taipei.
