About the role:

You are a Software Engineer in nature. A career as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is your preferred, but not the second-choice.

As a hands-on Senior SDET at Vyond, you will make real impact, and be the key player by working closely with the Development team, QA team as well as the DevOps team to ensure the continuous quality of the codes throughout the whole software development life cycle. As a role model, you will be the expert in the team to inspire the developers to implement tests and write high quality scripts.

You will be responsible for:

• Driving and implementing the automation testing strategy to support the company initiatives and roadmaps.
• Owning and directly contributing to the improvement of quality, as well as the coverage of tests.
• Building up and maintaining the test frameworks which enables developers to write reliable and better tests.
• Working closely with the DevOps team to improve the CI/CD flow for achieving faster and reliable releases.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience.
• Minimum 3 years of trackable and proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks for large or enterprise scale applications.
• Solid experience with SaaS, and cloud platforms like AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Knowledge of at least one OOP language (e.g. Java or C++).
• Familiarity with the software engineering methodologies and practices.

• Able to work independently; A team player, self-motivated and well organised.
• Excellent communication skills. Able to work with people from different teams, with technical or non-technical backgrounds.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Requirements:

• Full stack understanding of web application systems, from user input to data persistence.
• Experience in implementing or developing test suites for complex cloud applications with large scale and high availability.
• Knowledge of Node.js or Python.
• Previous leadership experience is a plus.
