Description

Senior Data Analyst works on ETL, data migrations, data quality and data integration. He/she identifies sources of data across the business, documents those sources of data, and ensures that the documentation is available to the rest of the Data team. He/she generates reports by analyzing data and produces documents for data explanations.

Responsibilities

- Create reports and queries to test and analyze data from various repositories and bring the desired output from the data.
- Create a robust design of data repository schema for the organization, including multiple system integration and address issues of data migration.
- Develop a scalable data management system that aligns with data classification standards.
- Maintain the integrity of data, keep records up-to-date and accurate.
- Capture detailed knowledge of the data/information processes (source systems, raw entities, and attributes) and develop required documentation.
- Assist other internal teams to develop a clear data strategy and to conduct benchmarking studies.
- Facilitate different teams to determine data requirements to satisfy business needs and support analytics business initiatives.
- Able to learn best practices for data management and data processes and support the Information Security team to implement data security across multiple platforms.

- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent
- Attention to detail and think-outside-the-box mentality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and learn on-the-fly
- 6+ years hands on working knowledge on a relational database management - system, such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL is required
- Experience with database query languages is required
- Experience with high level programming languages is a plus, e.g. PL/SQL, Python, Ruby
- Knowledge in Amazon Redshift, Big Data, Data Mining / Modeling & Hadoop is a plus
- Knowledge in ETL workflow management platform is a plus, e.g. Apache Airflow
- Knowledge in statistics is a plus
- Good communication skills
- Fluent English is a must, Cantonese proficiency is desirable
