Senior Global DRAM QRA Data Analytics Engineer

Micron Technology Taiwan  •  JUL 2021 - Present

Focus on Big Data Analytics, Algorithms, and Analytic Tool development, monitoring the quality and reliability of critical products for the world's third-largest DRAM manufacturer.

  • Take initiative to propose and develop tools for quality and yield enhancement.
    • Developed an effective algorithm to detect quality and reliability issues. One submitted paper was selected and recommended in an internal technical forum.
    • Built a Spark-based data tool to reduce analysis time from hours to 10 minutes.
    • Reduced the 99% execution time of existing analytical tools from 2.5 hours to only one minute with computer science knowledge.
  • Solve quality and reliability issues via cross-national data communications.
    • Handle Big Data to provide complicated data analytics in a timely manner for large events with a business impact of hundreds of millions USD.
    • Create web-based interactive reports for smooth data communication.

Test Data Science Engineer

Micron Technology Taiwan  •  AUG 2018 - JUN 2021

  • Built multiple ETL pipelines to transform IC test data (in plain text) into structured data for further deep business analysis.
    • Developed a pipeline framework for team use that expedites data collection four times faster than the traditional way.
    • Created many yield, quality, and operation monitor reports.
  • Took initiative to explore innovative methodologies for yield enhancement and scrap reduction.
    • Developed an interactive web report for test log viewing, integrating multiple data sources into an organized page for comprehensive data insights. Introduced to more than 35 internal teams, greatly simplifying engineers' workflow and reducing issue investigation time from days to minutes.
    • Developed an algorithm for critical parts issue detection. For a particular manufacturing process, this algorithm enhances a 6% yield and reduces 80% of issues for these parts. It also promotes the collaboration of hardware development and repair teams to build a robust procedure for parts inspection and repair.
