Danielo Perez (Austin)

Experienced Austin Forensic Pathologist

A member of the Austin, Texas, community, Dr. Danielo Perez has extensive experience in the field of forensic pathology. Prior to his work in Austin, Dr. Danielo Perez engaged with the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office in Chicago from 2011 to 2012, conducting autopsies throughout the county in cases of unexplained, unattended, and unnatural deaths. He also mentored assistant pathology fellows and taught students to autopsy techniques. 

Dr. Perez is currently considering pursuing fellowship work in cytology and surgical pathology while starting a consulting business in his field. A focus will be on providing expert opinions in cases where a forensic autopsy has been conducted and an expert opinion is needed. An active member of the field, he maintains membership in professional groups such as the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. 

Also interested in energy work and Eastern philosophy, Dr. Perez has studied Mandarin Chinese at the college level and maintains a strong interest in Taoist knowledge and philosophy as well as Chinese medicine. He enjoys activities such as meditation and calligraphy in his free time.
