Work Experience

EPISIL, TD/PIE, Mar 2018 ~ Today

The first job was as a TD at EPISIL, mainly developing IGBTs. Although I didn't have much experience in the semiconductor manufacturing process before entering this industry, the habit of searching for literature on the Internet helped a lot in my work. Just three months after I came to the company, I encountered an abnormal electrical performance. After collecting electrical data, searching for relevant documents, and submitting an improvement report before the customer meeting, the development time was shortened by 15%.


In 2019, the merger of the company's departments gave me the opportunity to get in touch with CMOS products. Although there are many types of products, the manufacturing process is more complicated than  Discret device. However, the basic manufacturing principles are the same, and more detailed parts can also be found in the references. With one year of development experience, I resolved 86% of product issues, and increased the WAT CPK from 1.33 to 1.77.


In 2020, I serve as the team leader of the FRD development project, As the manufacturing conditions are relatively mature that pay more attention to process adjustment to meet electrical applications.It is also the first time to lead a team, using the 80/20 principle seen in the book, to find the core of the product, plan the team’s KPIs, reasonably allocate them to suitable talents, and continuously improve themselves.


In the second half of 2021, I serve as the manager of the SIC development course under the recommendation of the supervisor. The main product developed is SiC transistor. The case for the company's new product line development is more challenging than ever.Due to reliability issues, the mass production plan was affected. After studying some papers and communicating with cross-departments, I the proposal was submitted to the VP. And get the support of VP to improve the HTGB problem, shorten the development process by 18%.
