David Garafola

Former CFO of Parker University

David Garafola is a finance and operations executive who has spent his entire career in the education sector. He has demonstrated a depth of expertise of functional competencies implementing best business practices and a breath of organizational higher education experience in advancing hid universities. Mr. Garafola most recently served as the vice president of business affairs and the chief financial officer of Parker University. Through seven years with the Dallas, Texas-based educational institution, David Garafola implemented a strategic plan to expand 12 new degree programs and increased annual revenues from $32 million to $50 million. 


David Garafola previously served for 12 years as the vice president for finance and administration at Webster University, where he achieved two credit rating upgrades and significantly expanded the school's operations from a single campus with 3,500 students to a multi-state university with a combined enrollment of 24,000 students. He also oversaw a 258 percent increase in the school's operating budget. Prior to Webster, he held other finance-based roles with College of Notre Dame of Maryland and Towson University. 


Mr. Garafola holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore and is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers and Financial Executives Networking Group, among other professional organizations.
