Douglas Hockett

Senior Vice President/Investments at Stifel

An alumnus of the University of Wyoming, Douglas "Doug" Hockett graduated in 1998 with a bachelor of science in marketing, moved to New York, and started working as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. Focusing on portfolio and risk management strategies along with portfolio hedging strategies, and new business development, Douglas Hockett worked for more than two decades for the financial services firm's Sheridan, Wyoming office. He rose to the position of senior vice president and branch manager.

Douglas Hockett left Morgan Stanley in October 2021 to join Stifel. He continues to perform portfolio management services for clients. He also reviews client investments and wealth management strategies while making changes to address respective client goals. In addition to helping clients, he has mentored many advisors and led educational sessions on various investment topics.

Complementing his experience in the financial services sector, Doug Hockett is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Wyoming and enjoys following financial markets in his free time. His other interests include exercising, hiking, hunting, and playing golf.
