Dr. Alan Porter

A Board-certified Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Alan H. Porter has a bachelor of science in chemistry, a master of science in radiation physics, and a doctor of medicine from the University of Florida. He received additional training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. While completing his residency through the University of Florida, he served tenures as both the chief resident and a clinical instructor. For the past 40 years, Dr. Alan H. Porter has directed daily operations at Porter Radiation Oncology, a fully accredited chain of oncology centers with locations in Venice, Sarasota, and Englewood. As director, he embraces the newest advancements in his field, including tomotherapy and other high-tech stereotactic radiation techniques.
