CEO of Mack Hines Consulting
During his career as an educator, Dr. Mack Hines served in positions ranging from the elementary classroom teacher and K-12 assistant/associate principal to college professor at both the University of Arkansas and Sam Houston State University. He is also an accomplished academic researcher, whose areas of expertise include race as it relates to African American children and societal notions of whiteness. Dr. Mack Hines holds a doctor of education in educational leadership and a master of arts in elementary education from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg.
For the past decade, Dr. Hines has owned and operated Mack Hines Consulting in Prosper, Texas. As the chief executive officer of this organization, he advises school district administrators and engages instructors in the development of culturally responsive, diverse, and inclusive approaches to teaching African American students. He also shares his insights and writes frequently on race and education; he published articles in three peer-reviewed journals in 2016 alone.
