Experienced Pediatrician

A physician with more than two decades of experience, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva joined the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in 2012. Since then, he has served the organization as associate executive director, medical director of quality initiatives, and, most recently, founder and director of the new Department of Subspecialty Pediatrics. In his latest position with AAP, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva is responsible for managing all strategic and operational aspects of medical and surgical pediatrics. He also established the AAP Quality Division, which promotes effective education and policy activities and develops data analytics functions for quality improvement.

Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School. He also holds a doctor of business administration in management sciences from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, and a doctor of philosophy in epidemiology with a focus on health policy, management, and biometry from the University of Texas School of Public Health. In addition to his work at AAP, he has spent nearly a decade as a professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
