Edgar Lampkin

Experienced Superintendent for California Schools

As an education and school district administrator, Edgar Lampkin laid the foundation for his career by earning a bachelor's degree in liberal studies with a bilingual emphasis from California State University, Chico. To develop leadership and related skills, Edgar Lampkin went on to earn a master's degree in educational administration from California State University, Sacramento. Additionally, he earned an Ed. D. in international multicultural education from the University of San Francisco. During this period, he also completed consultant training in education social justice through the Open Society Institute in Eastern Europe.

Early in his career, Edgar Lampkin served for ten years as a school principal for schools in the California Salinas Valley and Portland, Oregon. In addition to other accomplishments, he managed a complete school year of operations during a renovation and construction project without any accidents, while at the same time implementing school reform at a school with an enrollment of up to 975 students. More recently, for another 10 years, he held the title of director of English language learner services and instructional services for classes PK through 12 at Yolo County Office of Education. His responsibilities included managing all aspects of the local education agency's contracting for technical support and professional development services to support surrounding school districts. Since 2016, Mr. Lampkin has supported California school districts as a superintendent with a high degree of accomplishments focused on leadership, school reform, modernization, construction, and fiscal solvency rating of A++.
