2+ years of experience in software development; during my time as a software engineer, I have experience in improving database performance when bulk inserting millions of records. And when I worked as SDET later on, I needed to consider edge cases and user acceptance testing, which helped shape my self-taught journey to become a front-end Engineer.

Now I mainly focus on front-end development, and recently I built a single-page application with React hooks and React Router.

Projects

ParkingKit

This project is designed for drivers to find parking spaces in Taipei. Users can use browsers' built-in function to locate their current position or directly search for a location to skim nearby parking lots. This was meant to be built as MVP when I started working on this project.

Tech Stack that I use:

  • Built with React hooks and React Router V6 for client-side rendering
  • Utilized open-source libraries and APIs, such as OpenStreetMap for map display and Leaflet for advanced map functions
  • Improved user experience by clustering all markers when loading all of them on the map
  • Used public APIs as the data source
