An accomplished higher education administrator, Dr. Emmanuel Lalande brings more than a decade of experience to his position as the vice president for enrollment management at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, he guides teams across several college offices and departments to develop comprehensive recruitment and admission initiatives. Dr. Emmanuel Lalande also ensures that the college’s admissions and financial aid departments properly follow all state and federal regulations.
Dr. Emmanuel Lalande earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Delaware State University before going on to complete an EdD in organizational leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining Benedict he held leadership positions with several colleges and universities, most recently serving as the vice president for student affairs at Florida Memorial University. His accomplishments during this time included driving a 30 percent increase in student enrollment while spearheading the school’s first dual-enrollment program.
Dr. Lalande has earned numerous honors and awards during his long career, including a 40 under 40 Alumni Award from Delaware State University. He has also given back to the community as a committee and board member of nonprofit groups such as the American Red Cross of Eastern Missouri and Youth Impact Missouri.
