Site Reliability Engineer - Delivery  • Duo Security | Cisco                                         Oct 2021 - Current

  • Oversaw deployment process on all production and federal systems by using Gitlab builds, ansible playbooks, and ansible tower
  • Owned SRE onboarding and access controls. Added automation to the process through AWS CLI scripting
  • Helped redesign the on-call training experience to add more collaboration between different SRE teams and ensure our team members felt more confident going on call
  • Migrated ansible managed infrastructure to be managed by Terraform
  • Upgraded MySQL instances from version 5.7 to 8.0.3 with zero downtime using ansible playbooks
  • Implement cluster mode for redis instances while upgrading them from 3.2.6 to 6.2.6

  • Worked with Randori's CMO to implement a new theme to their WordPress website
  • Improved Randori's work processes by implementing a development branch and a staging branch to their live website
  • Fully designed and implemented a single-page application for Troop-114 allowing them to sell event tickets online

  • Saved Jefferson County 192 weekly labor hours by developing a Python script to encrypt voter data and automate transfer while utilizing an AWS S3 bucket instead of manual USB transfer.
  • Saved Jefferson County $399/month by overhauling their existing asset management software with open source Snipe-IT Asset Management on a low-cost AWS EC2 instance

    • Homelab with 20+ docker applications running. Using traefik as a proxy and Cloudflare argo tunnel for outside connections. Also using Authelia and Duo to protect higher risk data.
  • News Explorer | GitHub Link
    • A MERN stack web application providing a web interface for NewsAPI. Users can create an account, search for relevant articles, and save them to their account for later review. Built by myself utilizing a Figma design.
  • Alfred Web Application | GitHub Link
    • A MERN stack web application that uses Chakra-UI and SocketIO for online Murder Mystery Parties. Built by myself in a three-week period (Use justify for demo)
  • Troop 114's 80th Reunion | GitHub Link
    • A single page Next.js application deployed on Vercel. Implements third party libraries that allow the user to purchase tickets for the event on the site. Also, it has a form that uses an API to export the data to a Google Spreadsheet.
