Former Executive Greg Salsbury Leads Western Colorado University

An accomplished higher education administrator, Greg Salsbury has served as president of Western Colorado University (WCU) since 2014. His accomplishments during this period include securing a landmark $80 million donation for the development of a new computer science and engineering school. He has also led WCU in building a more diverse student body and engendering significant increases in both student enrollment and student retention. In addition to his responsibilities with WCU, Greg Salsbury sits on the board of directors and the finance committee of the Community Valley of Gunnison Valley.

Mr. Salsbury previously served 15 years as a senior executive with the Jackson National Life Insurance Company. There, he held such roles as executive vice president of distribution and head of sales. His career has also seen him teach business communications at eight universities, write a number of published books and articles, and deliver presentations to a variety of professional groups. Through his work, he has garnered multiple awards from the International Association of Business Communicators.
