Imafidon Thomas Izekor

Based in Regina, Canada, Dr. Imafidon Thomas Izekor serves as a family physician with the Department of Family Medicine at Saskatchewan Health Authority, where he has treated patients since 2014. In this role, he provides patient care using the highest standards and clinical guidelines while also serving as a mentor to junior medical staff members. Dr. Imafidon Thomas Izekor obtained his medical training in Nigeria, where he served as a medical officer at the Regina Mundi Catholic Hospital for six months before beginning his formal education at the University of Lagos, where he earned an MD and completed practice training in five disciplines, including medicine and surgery.

After he earned his degree, Dr. Izekor functioned as a medical house officer at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where he assisted in the operating rooms and worked in the capacity of a general practitioner with patient management duties. After moving to Canada, he served as a SIPPA family physician candidate at Melfort Union Hospital and passed the evaluation exams administered by the Medical Council of Canada. Dr. Izekor is also LMCC certified.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Izekor likes to listen to the works of classical music composers such as Mozart and Beethoven. He also plays puzzle and word games including Sudoku and Scrabble.
