Director, Project Manager, Taiwan Design Center / Taiwan Design Research Institute , 2007 - Now 

  • Director of Policy & Communication (2018-present) : 
    • Providing strategic policy design and organization transformation consultancy to TDC/TDRI.
    • Developing digital transformation program and design industry development strategic research for TDC/TDRI.
  • Director of International Design Development Section (2012-2017) : 
    • Directing, managing and overseeing International Design Development Section and international cooperation program.
    • Supervising over 15 staff and 3 branch overseas office (San Fransisco, Dusseldorf, Tokyo) 
    • Organizing and establishing the first Red Dot Design Museum in Taiwan and  implementing over three design exhibitions and innovation forums from 2014-2015, attracting more than 50,000 people per year.
    • Developing the World Design Capital Taipei Program, and responsible for strategic planning, marketing & promotion, event & exhibition curation:
      1. Serving as the program leader and WDC 2016 office deputy CEO, managing, developing and overseeing the program and supervise over 15 people in WDC office (2015-2017)
      2. Initiating "Design for Policy Program" : integrating more than 10 bureaus (including the Bureau of Health, Education, Culture, Construction, etc.) and co-creating with designers, professionals, and citizens to jointly develop creative solutions & proposals. Hosted over 618 cross-disciplinary meetings, assembled 800 professionals, and motivated more than 200,000 citizens to participate.
      3. Promoting International City Cooperation Program : initiating & hosting international exhibitions and forums in Taiwan and overseas, linked total of 5 continents, 33 design organizations, 10 cities and 16 international design week organizers to build up in-depth design exchanges with Taipei.
      4. Branding & Communication: Boosting Taipei branding through PR & marketing program. From 2012 to 2016, Taipei has received more than 4,600 online and offline media reports from domestic and overseas, such as Forbes and Monocle. WDC 2016 was selected as the best annual event and Taipei was ranked as the top 5 must-go city in the world.

Director, American Innovation Center, 2014 - 2017

  • Managing and developing program : 
    • Collaborating with AIT to establishing the American Innovation Center in 2014, the first innovation center in Asia to develop program and events. AIC was selected as one of the best Smithsonian concept design in 2015. 
    • Managing, directing and developing the program and supervising 2 staff to implementing daily operations. 
    • Hosting more than 100 innovative courses in a year, brought more than 3,000 participants, and creating over 200 media reports, 3,500 FB followers and attracting over 30,000 visitors a year. 
    • In 2014, Fulbright Specialist Program was hosted by TDC and run several design thinking and innovative program with inviting Professor Judy Veramendi from Northwestern University at AIC. 
    • In 2015, working with AIT to host American Corners regional "3D printing Deep dive workshop".
  • Networking : 
    • Networking with  Microsoft, IBM, National Geography to build up innovation partners program. 
    • Networking with Taiwan Start-up and technology companies to develop education program including 3D Maker, VR/AR education, Coding program...etc,. 
  • Reaching out : 
    • In 2015, expanding AIC's out-reach, hosting Yilan Maker Space during Taiwan Design Expo and attracted more than 30,000 community stakeholders to join. 
    • In 2016, In conjunction with the World Design Capital, curating " American Innovation Pavilion" in Songshan creative park, bringing together more than 18 American companies to innovation topics including artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things, VR technology, digital learning. Attracting more than 25,000 visitors including 3,000 VR experiencers and 12 courses were held with over 500 participants. Media releases for AIC are more than 48. 
  • Branding Enhancement : 
    • Organizing & hosting the first Fishackathon in Taiwan in 2016, attracted 120 Coder, 29 teams in total. Hosting over 5 fishing industries’ related courses and 4 on-site sharing sessions. Within 48 hours, 29 teams developed 13 creative solutions in total. Top prize winner in Taipei was selected as the World Championship of the Year.
    • In 2017, co-working with AIT to introducing and hosting the first NASA hackathon in Taiwan, which is the largest hackathon in the world. Over 187 cities joined, and 25,140 participants participated, bringing out 2,017 applications. Space Bar from Taiwan won the "Best Concept Award" in the global competition.
