Jacob Kingston

Jacob Kingston is the CEO of Plymouth, Utah-based Washakie Renewable Energy, LLC, the largest producer of biodiesel in the Intermountain West area of the United States. In his role with the company, Jacob Kingston works to raise awareness of the many benefits that biofuel offers, such as lowered production of greenhouse gases and renewability.


As part of his work with Washakie, he formed the Kingston Energy Scholarship for students studying chemical and mechanical engineering at his alma mater the University of Utah. The scholarship offers an annual award of $1,000 to undergraduates and $3,500 for graduates.


He is also a member of the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce and supports the American Fats & Oils Association. In his spare time, Jacob Kingston enjoys cooking and has a particular fondness for seafood. Further, he is a keen traveler who has visited Malaysia, China, and Rome, where he had the opportunity to see Bono of U2 perform.
