Jamar Esaw's Music-Related Accomplishments

Leveraging over 15 years experience as a musician and choir director, Jamar Esaw is the founding member of Jamar Esaw & Triad 4 Christ, a gospel collective that earned six Rhythm of Gospel Awards in 2012 for its debut album, Prepare Me. Since the group first began performing in 2006, it has shared the stage with artists such as VaShawn Mitchell, Isaac Carree, Alexis Spight, and Fred Hammond. Additionally, the group has performed in four stage productions, including The Gospel of Colonus, and competed in Verizon's How Sweet the Sound competition.


In addition to performing with Triad 4 Christ, Jamar Esaw has sang background vocals for Tremaine Hawkins, JJ Hairston, and Lonnie Hunter, among others. He recently concluded a three-year stint as main campus music director for Indianapolis' Eastern Star Church, during which time he managed the adult and youth choir and led a group to a top-three finish at the 2015 Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards Choir Contest.


Prior to working for Eastern Star Church, Jamar Esaw served as a youth counselor for Model Cities in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he developed programming and helped previously incarcerated youth transition back into the community. He also worked as a senior financial loan processor for General Electric, an assistant minister of music for New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, and a model with Moore Creative Talent. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Augsburg College in 2005.
