James Berlangero

Longtime Contract and Sourcing Manager

Before beginning a career in procurement and contract management that has spanned more than three decades, James Berlangero studied business administration at Nassau College and the New York Institute of Technology. He has continued to develop his professional skills through continuing education courses taken at the National Association of Purchasing Management and other training programs. Additionally, James Berlangero has earned designation as a Certified Purchasing Manager from the Institute of Supply Management.

James Berlangero began his career in 1985 when he joined Keyspan Energy Delivery as a senior buyer, and over the next two decades he held leadership positions in the procurement divisions for companies such as Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Citigroup, and US Powergen. From 2007 to 2014 he served as a senior procurement analyst and contracting manager for Public Service Electric & Gas, where he supervised the negotiation and implementation of more than $500 million in transmission contracts.

Most recently, James Berlangero worked as a sourcing manager for Cushman & Wakefield in Weehawken, New Jersey. In addition to developing procurement schedules and conducting comprehensive price audits, the Long Island, New York, resident negotiated approximately 150 contracts with a focus on cost reduction.
