Mountain Brook, Alabama, resident James Dixon serves as a managing director with Stifel, Nicolaus & Company in Birmingham. Since 2015, he has leveraged Series 65 and Series 63 licenses, qualifying him to function as an investment adviser representative and transact business across state lines, respectively, to guide operations in the Southeast region. James Dixon also holds Series 7 registered representative and Series 8 general securities supervisor licenses.

An alumnus of the University of Alabama with a BA and an MBA in finance, Mr. Dixon studied for his certificate in financial planning at Florida State University and undertook executive development at the Securities Industry Institute at Wharton. Prior to joining Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, he functioned as the division president of the Private Client Group at Sterne Agee & Leach, Inc.

Maintaining an active presence in his community, Mr. Dixon belongs to the downtown branch of the Rotary Club of Birmingham. An elder with the Independent Presbyterian Church, he also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
