James Hanis

James Hanis is a professionally licensed Florida Registered Architect (RA) and design manager with Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando. Between 1998 and 2002, James Hanis functioned as vice president of 3-D International, LLC, a role that involved extensive project management duties within the Orange County Public Schools system.

Following his time at 3-D International, James Hanis spent more than three years as senior project manager with the projects division of Orange County Capital, during which time he focused on a variety of high-profile projects, including many design and build projects with the local parks and recreation team. From 2005 through 2015, he worked for the City of Daytona Beach in the role of city architect, a position that encompassed all urban design, architecture, planning, and construction activities.

Mr. Hanis graduated from the University of Florida with a master of arts in architecture. His studies emphasized urban planning and landscape architecture. His work has appeared in several publications, including Southern Homes.
