New York-based finance professional Janina Casey maintains a strong commitment to giving back to others. An avid supporter of fundraisers for the National Urban Technology Center, she recently became a board member of the organization and now plays a more hands-on role in its mission. Also known as Urban Tech, the nonprofit provides computers to schools that lack 21st century resources and maintains education programs designed to help students develop emotional, social, and digital literacy skills. Janina Casey also spent four years mentoring and sponsoring two underprivileged high school students as they completed their studies at private school.
In terms of her career, Ms. Casey has established herself as a leader within the finance industry. Focusing primarily on equity research sales, she has worked for a number of large financial groups in New York. In preparation for her career, she earned a bachelor’s in finance from St. John’s University and completed the management training programs at both Harvard University and Princeton University. While at St. John’s, Janina Casey was also recommended for the Citibank summer management training program. After completing this internship, she was the only student who was offered a full-time job.
