Variable designs software for industries such as adTech, Fitness, Health, and Education. Variable has engagements with some of the worlds largest companies to create functional, beautifully designed solutions.

As founder, I use my expertise and knowledge of the industry to grow the customer base.

Current & previous customers include Convertro, Oath, Verizon, Dyaco (岱宇國際), Giant Group (巨大集團), and Measured.

Director of Engineering - Front End  Measured

Led a team of 15+ software engineers. Helped Measured to create a beautiful and interactive solution for the Marketing Analytics space. Designing from the ground-up a beautiful product that is intuitive for clients. Working with the entire Measured team to develop a lasting design that is extensible both for the developers and the users.

May 2018 - June 2019

Senior Software Engineer  Oath

Internal role change after the merger of Convertro with Oath. Led UI/UX design on internal projects, contributed as a senior software engineer, IC5.

July 2012 - January 2019

Head of UI Development & Interaction Design  Convertro

Led Convertro Dashboard development team through an acquisition by AOL, and later an acquisition by Verizon.

Responsible for managing the user experience and interactivity for Convertro's Dashboard. Iterating on the user interface constantly to make sure that Convertro's incredible wealth of data is both easy to understand and simple to navigate.

Work in conjunction with the product team to develop new and innovative methods of gaining utility from marketing analytic platforms.

Leading change of dashboard codebase to industry standards, including ReactJS.

July 2010 - September 2012

Front End Software Engineer  Coverity

Developed numerous jQuery Widgets. Subclassed and improved jQuery UI's Dialog and Autocomplete widgets. Worked methodically to implement well-tested features. Led conversations regarding UI/UX issues.

Converted from using YUI/prototypeJS to modern Javascript (jQuery, Angular, Backbone.js) libraries, CSS (lessCSS, SASS/SCSS) libraries, and HTML practices.

Completed numerous projects from specifications requiring both backend, frontend, and design work. Worked with team members to complete projects within budgeted time.

Created and managed graphical elements using Adobe tools.

January 2010 - June 2010

Lead Developer  RAMPgreen

Oversaw and rapidly prototyped multiple consumer facing products as well as B2B solutions using Ruby on Rails, Java, and other programming languages.

Designed a network architecture using standard methodologies. Implemented CouchDB and wiki 2.0 platforms.

Contributed to open source projects including jQuery and jQuery UI.

Researched and prototyped SMS, Callback, and chat functionalities in a cloud architecture. Heavy focus on creating RESTful API’s. Prototyped a semantic information web application.

Lead Developer  Independent Contractor/Self-Employed

Worked with client to implement a content management tool using Drupal. Built a user-interface, created a consistent UI theme, as well as developed an information taxonomy. Demonstrated solution to client as well as provided training on using Drupal.

Web Developer  HomeSavvi

One of two Program Managers. Used the agile development methodology to quickly build new site designs and make architectural changes. Interfaced daily with all aspects of the company – from marketing to sales operations. Managed the IT infrastructure and developed solutions to meet increased demand. Implemented Google Analytics and Multi-Image uploading. Worked with all aspects of Drupal: wrote modules, implemented performance enhancements, oversaw UI design rollout, and customized the UI theme.

Worked within the Mechanical Engineering Department maintaining the IT infrastructure. Facilitated the deployment of 3 computer labs, each with around 20 computers. Used technologies such as Norton Ghost and Deepfreeze to maintain computer labs. Maintained and developed the Mechanical Engineering Department's web technologies.
