Jigar Thakarar

Managing Director at MusiCares

Jigar Thakarar is a business executive with two decades of experience, during which he has worked with multiple firms in the entertainment industry. Since October 2020, Jigar Thakarar has served as the managing director of marketing and partnerships at MusiCares, the non-profit arm of The Recording Academy.

In the months since, he has looked to meet the firm’s fundraising goals by building strategic relationships with sponsors for a variety of partnerships. Mr. Thakarar has also worked closely with various departments to develop and execute MusiCares marketing strategy.

In addition to working for other companies, he has led organizations of his own. For three years, he was the chief executive officer of Limitless Ventures, a boutique brokerage that specialized in securing sponsorship deals for celebrities. While there, he consulted with Matter Inc. about its branded entertainment and talent acquisition strategies.

Mr. Thakarar also advised Blackberry on its celebrity acquisition efforts. During his time as head of Limitless Ventures, he also signed an exclusive agreement with Ministry of Sound to oversee its events at the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas in the summers of 2011 and 2012.
