1. Develop, maintain and improve motherboard BIOS 2.Implement methods to control motherboard components 3.Debug and problem solve BIOS issues 4.Provide BIOS related technical support to customers or internal departments 5.Assist field application engineers in solving product issues

Design, develop and maintain AMI BIOS FW. Develop or porting BIOS features to new Intel/AMD platforms. Handle projects and communicate closely with other function teams. Write, integrate and maintain common specifications for BIOS teams. Validate functions from R&D point of view for features.

工作內容 Responsible for leading a team to develop and maintain the QNAP BIOS/EC/MCU project. Capable of developing unique feature based on hardware or PM specification. Define the platform validation plan and develop necessary debugging and test tools. Willing to deep dive into specific domain technologies or new hardware feature and arrange related technical training courses. Work across different HW and SW teams to identify and resolve technical issues. ‌

Leading BIOS team to develop and maintain BIOS project. Coreboot/Slim bootloader develop experience is plus. RFQ spec evaluation for BIOS part. Co-work & debug BIOS issue with hardware engineer. BIOS feature porting.

Responsible for BIOS server project and co-work with other function team for motherboard porting. Develop x86 BIOS feature, including RAS, redfish, IPMI, … etc, according to customer request. Coordinate with EE/vendor to narrow down problems, provide root cause, and patch for BIOS issues. Study and develop new technical knowledge, participate BIOS design, and write related guide.
