Joel David Jackson

Managing Technology Sales for 20 Years

Joel David Jackson holds the titles of vice president of worldwide technology sales and global traffic manager at Red Hat, a software subsidiary of IBM. Among his responsibilities at Red Hat, Joel David Jackson sells solutions in the areas of enterprise software, cloud computing, and virtualization.

Mr. Jackson started working in technology sales in 1999 and has fulfilled diverse sales roles, from client executive to regional manager. He believes that meaningful business strategies must take into account each component of a business from the bottom up, and he is committed to implementing the knowledge he has gained over his career as well as learning new skills every day.

In addition to his professional activities, he has held a seat on the board of the Vantage Point Foundation, an entity that provides professional and personal support to veterans, since 2017. A military veteran himself, he served as a corporal and squad leader in the U.S. Marines from 1992 to 1996.
