A doctor of addiction care and treatment in private practice, Dr. Joel Match has lived in the greater Washington, DC area for roughly 25 years. In addition to operating his practice with a clinical focus on concerted patient care and education, Dr. Joel Match has worked for a major pharmaceutical company, delivering lectures and speeches on proprietary opiate addiction medication.
Before expanding into addiction treatment, Dr. Match taught nurse practitioner students as an associate professor with George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and operated his own practice as an obstetrician and gynecologist in Washington, D.C. where he was anAssociate professor at George Washington University and Associate faculty at John’s Hopkins University, teaching residents obstetrics and gynecological surgery. He also oversaw family medicine physicians as a lieutenant commander with the U.S. Navy and practiced family medicine as a resident with doctors’ offices in both California and Virginia.
Dr. Joel Match holds a doctor of medicine from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico and a bachelor of science in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He began his undergraduate education in Florida at the University of Miami. While attending this Florida institution, he competed as a member of its platform diving team.
