As the owner of PM Consultants, LLC, in Brick, New Jersey, John Barrett offers comprehensive financial services to county and municipal governments. He leverages more than a decade of experience in municipal finance in the state to assist his clients. Additionally, John Barrett is certified as a financial manager, municipal finance officer, and county finance officer.

Since PM Consultants’ establishment in 2006, he has served concurrently in a variety of capacities, including as the director of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) for Ewing Township. He has also functioned in a similar dual role for Hamilton Township. During this time, he rectified several years of budget deficits and freed Hamilton Township from state fiscal oversight two years earlier than anticipated.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Barrett has maintained an active presence in the philanthropic community. In 1998, his local Alzheimer’s Association chapter recognized him as the Central New Jersey Volunteer of the Year. Moreover, he was inducted into the Theology Honor Society at Georgian Court University in 2018 and became an ordained deacon of the Diocese of Trenton in 2020.

John Barrett appreciates an active lifestyle and is fond of engaging in water activities in his spare time. A passionate swimmer and scuba diver, he is drawn to boating, fishing, and surfing. On land, he enjoys basketball, tennis, and landscaping.
