John Biernat

Paralegal at Padilla Law Group 

With a background in law enforcement, John Biernat is a paralegal at the Birmingham, Michigan-based Padilla Law Group, which he joined in March 2019. In the position, John Biernat is responsible for trial preparation, drafting motions, and writing case evaluations and summaries.

Before starting his legal career, Mr. Biernat attended UDM Law, which he graduated from in 2017 with a juris doctor. While pursuing the degree, he made the Dean’s List and won a Book Award while also serving as an extended evening student treasurer.

Alongside his JD, John Biernat holds an associate degree in general studies from Macomb Community College. After graduating, he attended Rochester College, which he graduated from magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in counseling psychology in 2006.

Mr. Biernat also has several years of experience as a patrol officer with the Harper Woods Police Department, where he was responsible for community outreach, safety patrols, and other duties.
