After graduating summa cum laude with his bachelor of arts in chemistry from the University of Indianapolis, John P. Mastandrea secured his doctor of medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He went on to complete a residency in general surgery through St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City and a residency in radiation oncology through the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. John P. Mastandrea finished his tenure at the Cleveland Clinic as chief resident. Several years later, he secured lifetime certification in radiation oncology through the American Board of Radiation.
Dr. John P. Mastandrea has spent the past three decades as director of radiation oncology with the Requard Oncology Center in Easton, Maryland. From 1999 to 2015, he concurrently chaired the Cancer Committee of the American Society of Clinic Oncology (ASCO). In addition to his ongoing affiliation with the ASCO, Dr. Mastandrea holds membership in the American College of Radiology and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
