John Salib

Managing Principal for New York Real Estate Firm


Since 2007, John Salib has worked for Castellan Real Estate Partners located in New York City. As the company’s managing principal, John Salib oversees all aspects of the real estate investment firm’s operations. 


 Prior to taking on this role, John Salib worked at several other New York City-based organizations. He spent more than a decade at Landmark Advisors LLC, which he founded. He also served as the alternative investment management company’s partner. In addition, he spent time as an associate at Salomon Smith Barney where he dealt with fixed income finance and mortgage securitization. While there, he belonged to transaction teams that originated and/or securitized about $3 billion of debt financing. 


John Salib earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. While attending undergraduate school, he was a member of the university’s varsity crew team. He continued his education and garnered his MBA in finance from Columbia University in New York City.
