Jordan Pleitz

Physician and Assistant Clinical Professor

A physician in Austin, Texas, Dr. Jordan Pleitz serves as section chief of the otolaryngology department with the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. In this position, he treats patients for hearing loss and swallowing disorders, in addition to performing head and throat cancer surgery. Since 2016, Dr. Jordan Pleitz has also served as an assistant clinical professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Dr. Pleitz holds a summa cum laude bachelor of arts in biology from Baylor University, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Chi honor societies, and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After graduating, he spent 5 years as a resident physician with the University of Kentucky Department of Otolaryngology.

A member of several professional organizations, Dr. Pleitz belongs to the Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, and reading Stephen King novels.
