                                                Project Manager in Nursing Administration

Over the course of her career, Julie Van Puffelen has applied her clinical expertise in nursing to guide the introduction of process improvement systems. She most recently served as a project manager with the implementation services division of Epic, through which she facilitated the successful launch of case management and clinical documentation in 17 hospital organizations and 115 hospitals across the country. Effective in guiding customers through all phases of introduction, from preplanning to optimization, Julie Van Puffelen also worked with processes that protect patient safety during the go-live phase.

Ms. Van Puffelen has also served as one of Epic's nurse liaison, where she worked with customers to optimize usability of Epic software at their organizations and to ensure that Epic remained relevant to industry needs. She took on this role in the same year she began to work with clinical readiness for the implementation of Epic solutions.

Before working at Epic, Ms. Van Puffelen gained six years of clinical nursing experience at Meriter Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She holds a bachelor of science in nursing and is working toward a master's certificate in project management from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
