Mainly responsible for design of algorithm for image processing related tasks, including the design of filters, modular architecture and the optimization of rendering performance and effects for video editing software. In charge of the open source effect framework openfx and launching plug-ins for Filmora in our Effects Store for two main clients, Boris and Newblue. The sales amounted to $10K in the first launch week. It’s forecasted that the yearly revenue could reach $1M. During 2022-2023, I was also involved in the design of new visual effects for products.

Main Task :

Designed new effect module architecture which is compatible with old version effect features.
Worked with the application layer team to integrate the effect features and debug.
Developed image processing algorithm features for video rendering on request.
In charge of the openfx plugin feature and video editing effect engine.

Worked in Magic Technology department as a software engineer, responsible for developing image processing effects on mobile devices, mainly portrait beautification effect. In the most time, I had to search and survey several journals to come up with proper solutions and designed possible algorithm for real-time execution performance on mobile devices, plus solving problems, collecting diversified human-face image for testing, designing verifying algorithm methods, and executing performance optimization on types of mobile device. Furthermore, created static libraries, designed filters of GPUImage framework, and offered simplified API for Application layer to integrate.
