Thesis: Development of an Energy-Saving Rudder Design Procedure with Graphical User Interface

The thesis parameterize the elements of rudder and establish the designing process of energy saving rudder which can manually or automatically designed by using Java based GUI integrate with CAE software macro(in VBScript). In this procedure, the geometries of the rudders can be generated for boundary element method and RANS method computations. For considering the effects of the ship flow, another important work of this thesis is to develop the RANS method for analyzing the ship flow field under OpenFOAM platform on Ubuntu.
