Keith Morris is a respected academic professional who has served as a school principal, and presently provides instructional leadership in the Detroit Public Schools. Responsible for ensuring that students receive integrity-driven lessons, Keith Morris observes and evaluates on-the-job performance of teachers.
Previously engaged as principal at the David Ellis Academy in Detroit, Mr. Morris provided faculty members with instructional support that emphasized best curricular practices. He performed standardized testing and assessment and undertook data collection, all with an emphasis on supporting inclusionary models and ensuring special-education compliance.
His experience also includes a position as special-education teacher with Highland Park City Schools in Michigan. Focused on meeting the needs of diverse students, he modified lessons in ways that reflected individual backgrounds. He also worked collaboratively with general education teachers in developing lessons that strategically closed achievement gaps.
Mr. Morris is presently pursuing a PhD in educational leadership at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
