An alumnus of Imo State University in Okigwe, Nigeria, Kelvin V. Udogu obtained a doctor of pharmacy from Purdue University in 2003, following which he began his career as a staff pharmacist with Vista Health System in Waukegan, Illinois. He spent three years in this position during which time prepared chemotherapeutic agents for chemotherapy patients and monitored and adjusted INR for patients on Warfarin therapy. Dr. Kelvin Udogu joined Walgreen Pharmacy in Bolingbrook in 2005.
In this role for 11 years, Dr. Kelvin V. Udogu managed the pharmacy and supervised colleagues. In addition to his primary responsibility of counseling patients on proper usage and potential side effects of their medications, he analyzed pharmacy reports, helped doctors with appropriate drug selection, and assisted with other tasks including immunization and compounding.
Dr. Udogu has served as pharmacist-in-charge at Global Medical Services, LLC, since 2016. His responsibilities include managing the company's $700,000 annual budget and developing various pharmacy operations assessment programs. Complementing more than 15 years of experience in his field, he holds membership with the American Pharmaceutical Association.
