鄭耿閔 Keng-Ming Cheng

It is with great enthusiasm that I am applying for the position of Software Engineer. I graduated from UCLA Extension and worked at PARISlab@UCLA for building neural networks.
I was also involved in several projects including simulation of atomic movements using Monte Carlo algorithms and prediction of molecular properties with machine learning. Those exciting projects allowed me to integrate the skills I developed in both of my majors—Materials Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering—into analyzing problems and implementing crucial factors into our functions. The integration of technical skills and scientific knowledge has provided me with innovation and ability necessary to provide our group with multifaceted solutions across a wide range of practical problems.
Within the three years of work experience, I enjoyed my job which gave me profound insights into data analysis. However, managing a huge amount of information relies on the combination of algorithms and software which gave me motivation to become a software developer. I am also passionate about designing and implementing new ideas and the latest technology into our products which give our customers the most advanced and reliable solutions.
My technical expertise includes fluency in multiple programming languages (including Java, Python, and SQL) and advanced knowledge of machine learning packages (including Tensorflow and Scikit-Learn)
