A graduate of Truman State University, Iowa resident Kevin J. Carr balances a busy career as a financial services administrator with a commitment to a range of civic and philanthropic activities. Kevin J. Carr volunteers his time and expertise as a board member for several organizations in Burlington, Iowa, including the Burlington Civic Music Organization, the Special Needs Foundation, and the Greater Burlington Partnership Sports Commission. He also helped lead a fundraising project to build the Great River Medical Center Hospice House, for whom he sits on the board. 


Professionally, Mr. Carr began his career as an auditor with international professional services firm Ernst & Young, standing out as just one of three individuals selected to participate in an 18-month residency in Washington, DC. After leaving Ernst & Young, he transitioned into the insurance industry when he accepted a position as co-general manager of a Paul Revere Insurance Agency in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 


Mr. Carr then went on to spend more than two decades as an executive in the insurance field, and he draws upon this experience in his current position as the chief financial officer and vice president of administrative services for Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa. Since taking on this role, he has achieved several significant milestones, including spearheading an $11-million capital endowment.
