A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Lionel Beaucage distinguished himself as an expert shooter. Also working as the ammunition technician for the base's rifle and pistol range, Lionel Beaucage served in a role that required him to prepare live fire ammunition daily.

After he left the military, he served as a boilermaker and later, after training as an apprentice for three years, he worked as a designer at Bath Iron Works, a major United States shipyard located in Bath, Maine, on the Kennebec River.
Mr. Beaucage now serves as a personal fitness trainer in Topsham, Maine. He provides clients with individualized strategies to help them reach goals such as injury recovery, athletic skill building, and weight loss.
