Lisa Meli

Wisconsin Educator with Diverse Career Experiences

The recipient of a bachelor's degree in Italian with a minor in art history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Lisa Meli began her career as an art collections assistant and lecturer at the Madison Arts Center in 1984 and later held various artistic and creative-based roles at Newark Museum, Value Line, Inc., and Wisconsin Public Television. From 1993 to 1998, she co-owned the Green Bay, Wisconsin-based Midtown Printing and managed sales, purchasing, customer service, graphic design, and copywriting responsibilities. From 1998 to 2001, Lisa Meli served as a public relations and volunteer coordinator at the Bay Area Humane Society in Green Bay.

Lisa Meli subsequently served seven years as a case manager and parenting teacher at the NEW Curative Rehabilitation Center and, in the latter four years, concurrently worked as an exploratory and extra-curricular teacher at Aldo Leopold Community School. She has added to her teaching experience over the course of the past decade with positions at St. Norbert College, Fox Valley Technical College, and the Green Bay Area School District.

In her most recent education role, Lisa Meli taught Italian and ESL to students at Bradford High School in the Kenosha Unified School District. Supplementing her experience in education, she holds membership with the Green Bay Educational Association, American Council on Education, and American Association of Teachers of Italian.
