Louis Mahar
Experienced Homebuilder in southern Oregon
A fourth-generation homebuilder in Medford, Oregon, Louis Mahar draws upon more than two decades of experience to oversee the construction of custom, quality built homes in the Stonegate Estates subdivision and other parts of southern Oregon. He serves as the Managing Member/Owner at Mahar Building and Developing, LLC, since January 2020. He was the co-owner of a building company with his brother, Charles, from 1999 to 2018. Mahar has built more than 350 homes through the latter company.
Louis Mahar is versed in management and accounting and leverages these skills to oversee financial functions for his building company. He's also especially familiar with the industry, given his family's involvement. His father founded Pacific Trend Building Company, which, at one point, was among the leading homebuilder in southern Oregon. He helped clean construction sites and frame houses for his dad's company from the age of 13. He also built a house for his high school senior project.
Mahar holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Management and a Minor in Economics from Southern Oregon University. He's a member of the National Association of Home Builders and Builders Association Southern Oregon. He served as the Treasurer of the latter from 2015 to 2018.
